Adj. Prof. Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam is an accredited Clinical Psychotherapist, Counselling Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor who brings years of experience and wisdom in addiction treatment and mental health administration. As one of the founding members and Regional Director of The Asia Pacific Certification Board (APCB), Adj. Prof. Dr. Prem also founded the Solace Wellbeing Group comprising Solace Asia, Solaria Wellbeing, Sanctuary Clinics, Sanctum Hospital, Solace Dubai, Solace Maldives, Sentinel, Solace Academy, and Salwa Oman.
Pursuing his passion in the addictions and mental health discourses, Adj. Prof. Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam has initiated the Solace Sustainable Recovery framework that boasts research, development and evolving treatment methodologies in the aforementioned fields. Having also acquired various qualifications, accreditations and research accolades, his journey to provide sustainable recovery has reached various parts of the globe attracting attention from diverse industry experts and policy makers.
An academician and author himself, Adj. Prof. Dr. Prem Kumar has also been involved in many conferences, specialized training programmes, consultations and joint task-forces around the globe, and has also been featured in national and international broadcast channels.
His initiatives with the Solace Wellbeing Group are representations of world class treatment administration, facilities and staff members - administering various addiction solutions and mental health provision. With the research and treatment facility based in Malaysia, Solace Wellbeing provides services for clients from various parts of the world including Saudi Arabia, UAE, South Africa, United Kingdom, Indonesia, India and Singapore.
